Celebrating life in every season
Whether it’s a wedding, funeral, or another significant event, I’ll help create a ceremony that honours the people we’re gathered to celebrate.
Big or small—I welcome them all!

About Debra
Hello, I’m Debra—a full-time celebrant with over 11 years of experience. This work is my calling, not a side job. I’ve led more than 800 weddings and commitment ceremonies, and twice as many funerals.
With a background in human services and education, I connect with people from all walks of life. I value diversity and the many ways we honour love, loss, and everything in between.
I bring empathy, calm, and clear guidance to every ceremony—whether it’s a joyful wedding or a heartfelt farewell. My volunteer work in palliative care has deepened my respect for life’s transitions.
Service offerings
I offer ceremonies that mark all of life’s significant moments, including:

Weddings
Celebrate your love with a ceremony that reflects you as a couple.
I've created an online Ceremony Builder to guide you through every step—from legal wording to meaningful vows.
Same-sex weddings are (very) welcome.

Commitment ceremonies
A joyful way to honour your love without the legal paperwork. I’ve helped many couples celebrate their commitment with warmth and meaning.

Funerals
Saying goodbye is never easy. I work closely with families to create respectful, heartfelt farewells that honour your loved one.
I can also support you with eulogies, family rituals, music, and photos—and I liaise with funeral directors to reduce your stress.

Master of Ceremonies (MC)
As your MC, I’ll keep your event flowing smoothly so you can relax and enjoy. I ensure all formalities are handled professionally and with heart.

Choosing the right celebrant is a vital component in planning your event. That’s why I am more than happy to meet or speak with you before you make your decision – there's no obligation.
I am based in Richmond, Victoria, however, I am happy to travel almost anywhere!.
Feel free to get in touch with any questions or queries:
When enquiring, it helps to provide your contact details and mention your wedding date. You can also ask if a PA/microphone can be provided. If possible, meeting your celebrant in person is highly recommended.
Acknowledgment of country
I live and work on Wurundjeri Country in Richmond VIC 3121 and pay my deep respects to Elders past and present — here and across all the lands I travel.
It is a privilege to stand with families and communities through all seasons of life — in joy and in sorrow — to honour births, unions, farewells, and transformations. Every ceremony is a gathering of cultures, stories, and shared humanity. I honour the diversity of those I meet and the sacred trust placed in me to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
